SECME, (rhymes with "peck me") a funny name for a program to whip up an interest in science and engineering.
SECME's goal is to increase the number of under-represented students who will be prepared to enter and complete post secondary studies in science, mathematics, engineering, and technology.
Each intermediate school in Davenport is setting up a SECME program in their schools. At J. B., selected groups of students are meeting during teachback to prepare for competition within the school. Later on in the year, these students will compete against groups from the other intermediates in Davenport.
