Lightning Strike

by Mike

Billions of volts flashed

Through his body

As a searing white hot ball

Of fire burnt off his hair

Millions of degrees hot

And four miles long

It slammed into his head

At the speed of light

It blew up his watch

And melted the soles of his shoes

It blew off his glasses

And tossed him like a rag doll

It threw him a dozen feet

And burnt up his clothes

His eyeballs crossed

And his fingers flew apart

The crack of thunder

Rumbled over his head

And rocked his eardrums

To tell him he was still alive

As conscious thought came flooding back

He felt tremendous pain

He realized what had happened

Thanks
