Introduction to Psychology Dual Credit. (Meets West Graduation
requirements and earns college credit.) See note below.
American Studies is a two term course and the student receives .5 units of credit for each term.
All other courses (except for AP United States History) are for one term and a student receives .5 units of credit for each course.
Advanced Psychology and Introduction to Psychology are the only courses with a prerequisite. Both courses require that Psychology be taken first. Scott Community College requires that either the ACT or COMPASS test be completed before taking Introduction to Psychology.
Students are required to successfully complete American Studies II and successfully complete at least one course from each of groups I, II, III, and IV.
