Students enrolled in special education classes must meet
State of Iowa criteria for entitlement and have an I.E.P. in place. The
I.E.P.(Individual Education Plan) contains information about instructional
needs, goals and objectives for a calendar year (sometimes less), and lists
related services. Special education students should participate in the I.E.P.
process and make course selections based on individual needs and desires. All
special education students (excluding profoundly multiple handicapped) must
meet the high school graduation requirements established by the Davenport
Board of Education.
