BLUE GRASS SPONSORS SCARECROW RUN

Blue Grass Elementary is promoting fun and fitness with their first annual Scarecrow Run coming up on October 21^st on the campus of the school.  Students will run by grade level and every participant will receive a ribbon and refreshments provided by the PTA.  Organizer Keith Sanders is excited about this first time event.

“Credit goes to Sandy Flaherty who first started this concept at Garfield a few years ago,” he explains.  “The event is designed to be fun and to promote ways to keep kids active.  It kind of goes along with our NO TV night out here at Blue Grass and gives kids and their families another option for staying fit,” he adds.
