CENTRAL HIGH STUDENTS NAMED NATIONAL MERIT SEMIFINALISTS

Alysa Bradley, Brendan Chambers and Ashley Peterson, students at Central High School, have been named semifinalists in the 52nd annual National Merit Scholarship program. They now join 16,000 other high school students from across the country in the opportunity to continue in the competition for some 8,200 Merit Scholarship awards, worth $33.9 million, that will be offered next spring. Sarah Penney, West High student, was recognized as a “commended student” for her performance on the qualifying test .
