14^TH ANNUAL YOUTH FEST – JULY 13 AT THE RIVER CENTER

 Davenport Community Schools is teaming up with organizations from around the Quad Cities to celebrate the 14^th Annual Youth Fest on Wednesday, July 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon at the River Center in downtown Davenport.  This free event is geared for kids in preschool through 8^th grade and will feature fun activities and information about positive and healthy ways to spend the summer.

In past years, more than 1500 area kids have participated – and more than 100 area youth, adults and community organizations have volunteered to help plan and present the event.  This year will feature recreational and craft activities, and representatives will be on hand from dozens of area organizations and businesses, with free giveaways, coupons and lots of hands-on activities to help celebrate a safe and healthy summer.  There will be music, performances by local groups and other stage events.
