DAVENPORT SCHOOLS DISTRICT AND CFO HONORED FOR EXCELLENCE IN FINANCIAL REPORTING

The Davenport Community Schools has been awarded a certificate of achievement in financial reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its comprehensive annual finance report.

In addition, Marsha Tangen, RSBA, Chief Financial Officer of the district received an award of financial reporting achievement for her work in preparing the award winning report. The report was judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program including demonstrative a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate the district’s financial story.
