WILLIAMS INTERMEDIATE CELEBRATES 50 YEARS!
Williams Intermediate is celebrating their 50th
anniversary on Monday, May 1st, with a set of
activities at the school . Opened in 1956, the
building now houses 775 students in grades 6-8.
Activities will begin at 5:30 p.m. and continue
until 7:30 p.m. Events for the celebration include
a taco dinner including birthday cake, book fair,
and musical performances throughout the evening.
There will be numerous student art displays in
common areas and the Talented and Gifted program
students will have displays of their recent robotic
projects. All classrooms will be open for tours.
The school is inviting former staff members to join
in the event and all parents – and even former
students – are welcome to attend. The school has
designed a souvenir t-shirt to commemorate the
event, as well. The school’s media specialist is
designing a wall of messages from former staff
members – written memories of their experiences at
Williams over the year. For more information,
please contact Sue Wolf at 391-6550.
