Lunch

  • For lunch one has the choice of the food court or the Oasis. This is a closed campus, so no leaving for lunch.
  • In the food court one may choose from a variety of different stations.
  • There are four lines to pay - only two lines take cash, but all four allow the SNAP account.
  • In the Oasis there is one line for other treats. It is located on the west end of the cafeteria.
  • The SNAP account holds predeposited money, so you do not have to worry about bringing money with you.

Kemper Hall

  • If a KH is found on your schedule that stands for Kemper Hall
  • One can find Kemper Hall by exiting the Main Street doors and making a right or by exiting the door by the foods rooms and going straight

Floor Numbers

  • At Central there are six floors
  • Upon entering the school from Main Street, 12th Street, or the Harrison Street entrance - you are on the fourth floor
  • From the fourth floor the fifth is up one flight of stairs, the sixth is up another flight, and the third is down one flight from the fourth floor
  • To get to the Second floor one may head to the cafeteria, before you step into it the second floor classrooms can be seen. They are on both wings to the cafeteria
  • The first floor is reached by entering from the student parking lot or by going down another flight of stairs from the wing that leads to the west end of the cafeteria

Parking

  • There are three parking lots
  • One staff-only lot on north side of building
  • The south is for students
  • The Palmer lot, accross 12th Street, is for staff and a limited number of students, must have a parking pass
  • One may sign up for a lottery to be awarded a spot in the student lot
  • See Mrs. Hansen to sign up for the lottery

Agenda/Student Handbook

  • The agenda contains the student handbook, a place to note homework, a calendar of events, and pages for hall passes
  • To leave class, an agenda is mandatory
  • HOLD ON TO THE AGENDA, IF LOST THERE MAY BE A COST TO REPLACE IT

Getting Involved

  • There are many wonderful things at CHS to be involved in
  • A good tip on being successful is to stay involved in school
