Announcements for 12-17-08
A reminder to all BV and CSI Show Choir members: Rehearsal today will be from 2:15-9:15. Students in attendance at this rehearsal must have a sack lunch for their evening meal, as we will only have a short break. Please be ready to start on time! 12-17
Show Choir PIT will rehearse from 7:00-8:00 tonight. 12-17
The 9th Girls Basketball team will practice from 2-4pm today after school. 12-17
Girls Track & Field will have open gym at 3pm after school today. 12-17
Members of the I-JAG Career Association want to thank you for participating in the Candy Jar Challenge. The winners are: Vivian Moore for the faculty jar (with a guess of 95,) and a tie between two students, Sarah Sanchez and Dalen Turcsak for the student jar (who both guessed 97). There are 97 pieces of candy in each jar. The candy will be delivered to you today. Again, thank you for your support. 12-17
This is a reminder that all mock trial participants are meeting on Thursday at 2:45 p .m. in the library. The meeting will be about 15 minutes long. You will receive a hard copy of the case, as well as other case materials, and meet with your teammates for the first time. If you cannot come to this meeting, you must see Mrs. Heninger before break to pick up your materials. 12-18
Listen up all you angles...If you were not able to bring your gift for the angel tree to Key Club, we still need them. Please bring your angel gift to room 509. WE NEED THE GIFTS BEFORE CHRISTMAS BREAK. Please bring your gift to room 509 ASAP incase of school cancellations. We really appreciate your involvement. THANKS!!! 12-18
If you would like to judge a Davenport Elementary Schools Invent Iowa contest, please see Mrs. Heninger in Room 501. The date for the Invention Convention is Thursday, January 22nd from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. If you can spare a few hours that evening, please consider being a judge of some interesting projects created by talented 4th and 5th graders. Come see Mrs. Heninger in room 501 if you are interested. 12/19

The countdown has started and the time to save money on your 2008-2009 yearbook is about the end. Friday of this week is the last time you can purchase your yearbook for the sale price of $60.00 in the activities office. After Friday the price goes up to $65.00. So don’t delay and purchase your yearbook before this great price goes bye, bye! 12/19
The snow is here. The Bricolage staff is waiting for your original submissions concerning your Winter Wonderland. Art, photography, poems, drama, short stories, and even musical scores are being accepted. Don't have an end of year creativity meltdown or freeze your creative juices.
