Announcements for 12-10-08

  • This is a reminder that this week is change week. Please see your counselor in the guidance office. 12-10
  • SENIORS, SENIORS, SENIORS…Today you can order your cap, gown, and graduation announcements during all lunches or after school from 4:30-6:30pm in the café. Don’t forget your order forms and money. All checks should be made out to Herff Jones. 12-10
  • Girls Track & Field open gym will be today at 2 p.m. after school with Coach Pettigrew. If you have any questions, see Coach Trujillo or Coach Rangel. 12-10
  • Attention cast of "Death by Chocolate":  Rehearsals this week will be cancelled and will resume the week of December 15th.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Viel in room 417. 12-10
  • Attention students: There will be an "early bird" Driver Education class beginning Jan. 6 through Feb 22, 2009. Register soon to guarantee a slot. Registration forms are available in the counselor's office or contact Mr. Jurgena in room 529 for more information. 12-10
  • Hey Devils how about buying a used boys basketball uniform? These would be great to wear to games. See Mrs. Hansen in the gym if you are interested in purchasing either, shorts, pants, jackets or tops there are limited sizes available so get one soon. 12-11
  • There will be a meeting for all students who signed up for show choir crew THIS THURSDAY, Dec. 11, right after school in the choir room. Any students not in attendance for this meeting will not be considered for crew membership. The meeting will only last about 20 minutes and details about the time and monetary commitments involved with show choir crew will be discussed. Please see Miss Wall with any questions. 12-11
  • Support DC I-JAG! Take a guess at the candy jar! One guess for fifty cents or three guesses for a dollar. You could be the winner of the jar of candy! Come to the Cafeteria during your lunch everyday this week and make your guess. There is also a jar for faculty, so you too, could win! And don’t forget to ask about I-JAG while you are there! 12-12
  • Candy Gram’s are currently on Sale! Please see any dance team member to buy your Candy Gram. You can purchase them for $1 each or six for $5. They will only be on sale through Friday so hurry and get your now! 12-11
  • Spanish Clubbers: please join us for a small holiday celebration this Friday after school. We'll have games, songs, crafts, and of course, FUN. Bring a snack or drink to share. This will be our last meeting of 2008! 12-12
  • Free, Free, Free – Who doesn’t love Free. Well your time is running out to get entered into the drawing to win $50.00 in Free Central spirit gear by purchasing your 2008-2009 Blackhawk yearbook. Friday is the last day names will be entered into the drawing to win great Central clothes. Plus you save money as the price of the book will be going up after winter break so don’t miss out! Order your yearbook in the activities office for $60.00 and win some cool Central gear—Do it by Friday—You know you want to! 12-12
  • The snow is here. The Bricolage staff is waiting for your original submissions concerning your Winter Wonderland. Art, photography, poems, drama, short stories, and even musical scores are being accepted. Don't have an end of year creativity meltdown or freeze your creative juices. Turn work into Ms Jasper in Kemper 212 or see Lindsay Whalen, Jon Welser, or Weston Slater for more information. 12-19
