Congratulations to the Central Speech team for a fine effort at Davenport West on Saturday. Art Carter placed 5th in Oratory. Nicole Liebe and Erin Friedrich placed 4th and 3rd in Oral Interpretation, and in Dramatic Interpretation, Erin Friedrich once again was tournament champion. Good job to all who competed. 12-8
Attention all baseball players: If you are not out for a winter sport or in BFS class you should be in the weight room after school. The weight room will be open the week of December 8th on Tuesday and Thursday. The following week lifting will be on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. 12-8
Girls Track & Field open gym will be today at 3:00 outside the weight room. See Coach Trujillo if you have any questions. 12-8
Attention all Army JROTC Cadets: Here are the updates for this week. Marksmanship team A has practice after school today at Brady stadium. Drill team has practice Tuesday and Thursday before school and WED after school in the Marshall gym. Raider team has practice after school on Thursday in New gym. All QC Challenge team captains must meet in room 254 after school on Tuesday. The Vacant Leadership positions for the upcoming promotion board are S-2, S-5, A Company First Sergeant, and B Company Commander. Get your packet in ASAP. 12-8
If you are interested in participating in Mock Trial this year, you must see Mrs. Heninger today to turn in your application. If you have not yet picked one up, please come to room 501 today. 12-8
Both Battle of the Books teams are meeting on Tuesday morning at 7:00 a.m. If you cannot attend, please see Mrs. Heninger to let her know. We need all team members to be present if possible. See you then. 12-8
Hey Blue Devils sign up for intramural badminton. The games will be played this Wednesday and Friday in the new gym. You can have a singles or a doubles team. Turn your name into Mr. Swetalla or Mrs. Hansen in the gym. 12-9
There will be a Blue Crew meeting on Wednesday, December 10th, at 7:15 in the library to discuss how the math tutoring program at JB Young is progressing. Please try to attend. Also, if you have any ideas for additional Blue Crew activities for the New Year, please bring them. 12-9
The boys track team will be lifting on Tuesday and Thursday this week. All boys not out for a winter sport or in BFS and plan on going out for track should be in the weight room Tuesday and Thursday this week. 12-9
