Announcements for 11-25-08

  • These students need to stop by the Activities Office after 2nd Block: Kaitlin Voigts, Zach Schreiner, Meghan Ryan, Peter Wiese
  • It is time to get submissions in to the Bricolage Winter Edition- Submit to Mrs. Jasper in room K212 or email your work- The theme is Winter Wonderland- See Lindsay Whalen, Jon Welser, Weston Slater, or Ayla Favati for more information. 11-25
  • Shades of Success/Boys to Men Pullout Program will meet 4th block on Tuesday, 11/25/08. Both groups will meet in the auditorium. Attendance will be taken at the meeting. Students will be dismissed at the end of 4th block. 11-25
  • There will not be Art Club after school today. We will resume our meetings on Tuesday, Dec. 2nd with a painting session. Please come prepared to help with the Credit Island sculptures. 11-25
  • Attention Winter Guard: We will be holding our first practice today at Washington Elementary School at 4pm. The practice will end early at 5pm due to the Thanksgiving Break. Practice next week will be the regular days and times. If you have any questions contact Ms Poskin. See you this afternoon! 11-25
  • This is a reminder to all Scholastic Bowl team members. The week after Thanksgiving is a busy week for Scholastic Bowl competition.  Knowledge Master Open for freshmen is on Monday, December 1 at 11:00 a.m. in room 501.  Varsity Knowledge Master Open competition is on Tuesday, December 2 at 7:30 a.m. in the Barb Hess Community room.  Please check your email to see if you are on the list for the competition.  Also, do not forget that Thursday, December 4th is our First Ever CHS In-House Scholastic Bowl tournament at 7:00 p.m. in our auditorium.  Please check with your senior team captain for more information.  12-1
  • What does a Starbuck's gift card and the cover of Indigo Ink Literary and Art Magazine have in common?  Both are prizes awarded to the winner of Indigo Ink's cover contest.  Submit your black, white, and indigo artwork to room 501 or newdevils@live.com or look for submission boxes around the school.  If you need more information about the contest, see Mrs. Heninger in room 501, speak with your art teacher, or speak with Kelsey Roebuck or Angela Barr. 12-2
