Announcements for 11-24-08
There will be a brief Drama Club meeting Monday after school in room 305 to make a FINAL decision on the One-Acts versus the dramatic play choice. Be there if you want to have a vote. 11-24
There will be a meeting for ALL cheerleaders football, basketball and wrestling on November 24th @ 4:30pm in the aerobics room. All cheerleaders must attend this. Bring your uniforms and DVDs with you to the meeting. This will also be picture day for all Basketball and Wrestling Cheerleaders. 11-24
Congratulations to the Central Speech Team for a nice effort at Dubuque Whalert on Saturday. Art Carter and Nicole Liebe both placed in their first tournament appearance. Art placed 2nd in Original Oratory, and Nicole placed 3rd in Oral Interpretation. In addition, Erin Friedrich placed 1st in Dramatic Interpretation, and Audi Anderson was the tournament champion in Student Congress. Once again congratulations to all who competed. Our next tournament is at Davenport West on December 6th. Students who are interested in competing in that event should see Mr. Hartje in room 306. 11-24
This is just a reminder that Indigo Ink is having a meeting this Monday after school in room 501. We are going to start having meetings on the last Monday of every month from now on. We also hope to hold several "Work Shopping" sessions were we will all share some of our work, and discuss how to make it better. We hope that you'll attend! Feel free to bring submissions, questions, and any friends you think would be interested! 11-24
Hey Yearbook Staff don’t forget about tonight’s meeting in Kemper 12 at 2:45. Also don’t forget to bring your work time logs to Mrs. Jasper so she can check your progress for mid quarter reports. She needs these by tomorrow. See you after school. Remember Monday meetings are mandatory! 11/24
The Central Book Club will be meeting to discuss Digging to America by Anne Tyler on Monday, November 24th after school in room 501. If you checked out a book from Mrs. Heninger and are unable to make it to the discussion, you must return the book to her by Monday. Central, let's get reading! 11-24
